The Child Welfare league has a 14-months' old boy who wants a permanent home. The little is in good health and the league is anxious to have some one adopt him permanently. Any one interested may call between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. ------------- CLAYSBURG Miss Betty Wolf of Johnstown is spending a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Warsing. Miss Frances Beegle of Rochester, N. Y., is visiting at the home of her aunt and uncle Dr. and Mrs. C. O. Johnston. Miss Cora Wetstone of Bedford spent the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Wilson. Harry Snyder has returned to his home at Tyrone after spending some time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Stine. The Progressive Sewing club has discontinued the meetings until Oct. 9, which will be held at the home of Mrs. Clyde Dibert. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. William Carn was greatly enjoyed by all. Refreshments were served to the following: Mrs. James Irwin, Mrs. Lloyd Warsing, Mrs. William Jones, Mrs. Clyde Dibert, Mrs. William Carn and sons Herbert and Donald Carn. The Blue Bird class of the Lutheran Sunday school held their monthly meeting at the home of Miss Carrie Black on Thursday evening. The president, Marie Gochnour, being absent, Miss Carrie Black opened the meeting. After the secretary's report the class business was discussed and delicious refreshments were served to the following: Mr. Calvin Williams, Mrs. Harry Diehl, Mrs. Clyde Dibert, Misses Laura Hoenstine, Carrie Glady and Ruth Black, Carrie Ling, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Black. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Clyde Dibert. The Kauffman and Dibert reunion which was held on Saturday in Shroyer's park at St. Clairsville was largely attended. They expect to hold their 1929 picnic in the same grove. The following from town and friends after the reunion stopped at the park at the Indian Springs lodge and had supper: Mr. and Mrs. George Dibert, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Dibert and two daughters, Florence and Anna Mary. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dibert and two sons Norman and David, Mrs. George Heinbaugh and son Clarence, Mrs. David Lasher and children Kenneth, Jack, Paul and David, Mrs. Jonas Yoder and grandson Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Pietsch, Mrs. William Kling, all of Altoona, Mrs. Claud Burket and children Myron and Janet Louise, Mrs. Harry Dibert and granddaughter Mary Flaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rhodes and daughters Catharine and Genevieve, Misses Betty and Bernice Burket and Sylvester Dibert, all of Claysburg, and John Geist of Hollidaysburg, R. D. No. 2. Mrs. Ruth Goshorn and daughters Louise, Dorothy and Joann, Miss Betty Ling and Mark Felker of town were callers at the home of Mrs. Mary Dibert last Sunday. Mrs. Charles Swarzwelder and twin children, Mary and Charles and three children of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz King, Mrs. William Kling and Eddie Kling of Altoona spent Thursday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Rhodes. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Diehl and children Lorraine, Luther and Eddie of South Lakemont were week-end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Diehl.
