WHITEMAN-HALDEMAN Mr. Andrew Whiteman and Miss Alice Haldeman were united in marriage by Rev. H. Miller Herr, pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, 1019 Seventeenth avenue. The wedding took place at the parsonage. The ceremonies were witnessed by the bride's mother, and also by her two brothers, Charles and John Haldeman, and Miss Nora Whiteman, sister of the groom. After an extended wedding tour the contracting parties will settle in Altoona. KUNES-MADARA A pretty wedding took place last evening at 8 o'clock when Mr. Nathan M. Kunes and Miss Jean Pearl Madara were united in marriage at the parsonage of the Fifth Avenue Methodist church by the pastor, the Rev. Alexander Lamberson. The bride wore a beautiful gown of sky blue silk and carried white roses. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Kunes of 221 Willow avenue and is a machinist helper employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company in No. 1 erecting shop at Twelfth street. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Madara of 431 Sixth avenue. Following the ceremony a delightful reception was given in honor of the young couple at the home of the groom's parents and attended by a number of relatives and friends of the contracting party. After a western wedding trip the newly married couple will reside in this city. HAVERSTICK-MCKERNAN M. Donald C. Haverstick of Altoona and Miss Ethel J. McKernan of Chester Hill, Pa., were quietly married yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock by Rev. Walter Whallon, pastor of the Broad Avenue Presbyterian church, at his residence, 2516 Beale avenue. After a wedding trip to Pittsburgh and central western cities, the newly married couple will reside at 1315 Sixteenth street. WHITSEL-LONGENECKER Owen S. Whitsel of Altoona was married at noon yesterday to Miss Lucy Longenecker of Huntingdon. Rev. J. S. Souse, pastor of the First Methodist church of Huntingdon, performed the ceremony at his parsonage. WILLIAMS-LEIDY At the parsonage of the Walnut Avenue Methodist church, yesterday morning at 9, the pastor, the Rev. J. K. Knisely, joined in the holy bonds of matrimony, Mr. John F. Williams and Miss Edna P. Leidy, both residents of the Mountain City. The happy couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Woolslagle of Tyrone. Mr. and Mrs. Williams have gone on a wedding tour to eastern cities and on their return in about two weeks, will take up their residence at 816 Chestnut avenue. ---------------------- REAL ESTATE TRANSFERS Charlotte M.
