As a non-legal sidelight to this mention in the Altoona paper, Matthew Calvin, Esq., was the son of Samuel Calvin, one of Blair Co.'s first Congressmen in the early 1850's, and Rebecca Smith Blodget, daughter of Bedford Co. attorney John A. Blodget and Anna Fletcher. Matthew started out in his father's firm in Hollidaysburg, and did pretty well for himself. His son Matthew Jr., in turn, followed painting as his career. Samuel Calvin and wife Rebecca Blodget Calvin, along with her parents John and Anna Fletcher Blodget, are buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in Hollidaysburg. David Fletcher Richmond, VA
