Romesburg-Cummings On Railroad street, Saxton, at the home of Mr. Cummings, foreman of the Saxton brick works, Sunday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m., his daughter, Florence Edna, was united in marriage to Samuel D. Romesburg of Garrett, Pa. The ceremony was performed by Rev. F. W. McGuire. The newly married couple will make their future home in Garrett. Nelson-Brumbaugh Jerome Nelson, a young farmer of Logan township, residing near Gardner's Mills, and Miss Olive Brumbaugh of Juniata, formerly of New Enterprise, Bedford county, were married last evening at 7 o'clock, at the parsonage of the East Altoona Methodist Episcopal church, by the pastor, the Rev. E. V. Brown. They will reside in Logan township. Zimmerman-Grassmyer At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bayles, 303 Sixth avenue, Mr. Elmer Ellsworth Zimmerman of Grassville, Pa., and Miss Margaret B. Grassmyer of Longfellow, Pa., were united in marriage Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock. The beautiful ring ceremony of the Methodist Episcopal church was used, little Miss Mary Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bayles carrying the ring, on a silver plate. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Anderson, the ladies being beautifully dressed in white silk, carrying bunches of red and white carnations. The men wore the conventional black. After the service, which was performed by the Rev. H. H. Crotsley, they all retired to the dining hall to partake of dainty refreshments. Their relatives and friends all join in wishing them a happy and prosperous voyage over the matrimonial sea of life. English-Filer Mr. William B. English of 2524 Maple avenue and Miss Blanche Irene Filer of 805 Fourth avenue were married at Youngstown, O., January 9. They will reside in this city, the groom being employed by the Pennsylvania railroad company. Marriage License Record Harry P. Rauck and Nancy Rabold, both of Altoona. David Goodman and Mary Emma Jenkins, both of Juniata. -------------------------------------------- Horace C. Will, aged 19, of 223 East Fourth avenue, caught the second finger of his right hand in a clog hanger of an engine truck in the Twelfth street shops, yesterday afternoon, and the end of the finger was crushed to such an extent that it was amputated at the hospital. --------------------------------------------------------- On Friday evening a happy crowd of young people gathered at Eleventh avenue and Eleventh street, with Mr. Ferman Botwright, as leader, and boarded a car for Tyrone, at which place they were et and ushered to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Van Scoyote at 1461 Logan avenue, an uncle of Mr. Botwright's, where they were all waiting for the happy crowd. The house was beautifully decorated for the occasion. The crowd being all strangers to the waiting people Mr. Botwright created much laughter by introducing everyone, after which several delightful games were played, vocal selections rendered and several piano duets by members of the party. The most comical event of the evening was when Edgar Shultzaberger, in playing a game, had to get up on the floor and cry like a baby. At midnight a dainty lunch was served after which some very fine singing was enjoyed by all in the early morning hours until the clock struck 2 when they all left, after rendering two selected hymns out on the sidewalk. They returned on the 3:01 train to Altoona. Those present were: Misses Almeda Mosel, Virginia McKenna, Daisy McCoy, Leora Sutton, Arlie Hite, Anna Stitt, Kathryn Kraft and Edna Engle; Messrs. John Rahm, Ferman Botwright, Ralph Isenberg, Steward Edmiston, Edgar Shultzaberger, Fred McKenna, Walter Hunt, William Yon and Clyde McCoy, all of Altoona, Ruth Igo, Ruth McConahy, Jane Shell, Margaret Jones and Joseph Gunwaker of Tyrone. Mr. Banks Troxell and Miss McMahon of Punxsytawney. ------------------------- Saturday evening was very pleasantly spent at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Krebs at Bellwood in honor of Mr. Kreb's 44th birthday; also, those of his near relatives whose birthdays fall in January. The tables were beautifully decorated and the famous chicken and waffle supper was served, after which the hours passed swiftly by in merry games and music. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. James Lowther and daughter Mary, and Mrs. Thomas Frazier of Bellwood; Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Fortney of Pinecroft; Mr. and Mrs. Raybold, Assessor F. S. Musser and wife, F. R. Pierce and wife, G. H. Musser and son Allen Ray, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Hoffman and son, Samuel, Mr. Samuel Stover, Miss Helen Musser, Mrs. J. L.
