After a LONG absence from my family history research, I am finally back to work. I have just updated my website, including the section on Riedseltz, Bas-Rhin, Alsace--the village of my WALTZ & HEINTZ ancestors. Under the "Books about the Area" link, you will find two more chapters from the George Wharton Edwards book ("The Feast of the Pipers" and "Mulhouse"). Although this book has a definite anti-German slant, it also contains many beautiful illustrations and interesting descriptions of the area in 1918.
