Bellwood Bellwood High school commencement will be in the Methodist Episcopal church this evening, when 42 young people will receive diplomas. Fifty-Two Years Wedded Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Gheer are today celebrating the 52nd anniversary of their wedding day. They are not having any celebration of the day, but are enjoying it quietly at their home on Maple avenue. The day is also Mrs. Gheer's birthday. Off to Chicago H. E. Syling, general secretary of the P. R. R. Y. M. C. A. left for Chicago yesterday, to attend a meeting of appointed officers of associations of North America. He expects to be home early next week. Work on the new bleachers at the P. R. R. Y. M. C. A. athletic field is completed. Work of filling at the field is progressing well and considerable improvement has been made. Band Called for Service All members of the Bellwood band will meet at the band hall Monday morning at 9:15 ready for duty. The director asks that all be on time. Everett Everett, May 26 Dr. and Mrs. James V. Fisher, of Saxton, were visiting relatives in Everett on Sunday. Miles Bottomfield, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Frank Bottomfield, of Leechburg, Pa., and Lloyd Bottomfield, of Pittsburg were visitors recently at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Bottomfield. Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Bussard, who have been residing in Florida, are visiting relatives in Altoona and Everett. Mrs. Elizabeth Avey and daughter, Maude, are visiting relatives in Decatur, Arkansas, and other relatives in Illinois. They will be gone for one month. Invitations are out for the Everett High school commencement which will be held in the Stuckey theater on Tuesday, May 31. Dr. Green of Pennington academy will be the speaker for the occasion. B. F. McGurn, of Brooknay, was a guest last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Suiters. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Fleming, of Uniontown, Pa., were recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Lee. John Maust, of Meyersdale, was a guest of his friend, Albert Sams, last week. Miss Carrie B. Grove is visiting her nephew, Dr. William Grove, of Mercersburg for several days. Mr. and Mrs. J. Harvey Richards and children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Robinson, Miss Myrtle Spangler and Albert Richards were recent visitors at the home of Frank S. Richards. Cecil Ritchey visited friends in Gettysburg recently. E. A. Sigworth was a recent guest at the Methodist Parsonage. Postmaster and Mrs. R. M. Clapper, of New Enterprise, were visitors in Everett on Thursday of last week. Mrs. Sue Emma Hudspeth, of Altoona, was a guest last week at the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. R. Fulton. Mrs. John Bussard is visiting in Venice, Florida. Mrs. W. A. Brookes is visiting her sister, Mrs. Clayton Karns. Dr. and Mrs. Theodore Hazlet, of Pittsburg, stopped in Everett on Friday on their way home from the medical convention in Washington. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Hazlet's sister, Mrs. W. H. Lantzy, who is employed in Nanty Glo, spent the week-end at his home here. B. D. Fry, of the local P. R. R. station, spent Thursday in Clearfield, attending court. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gray, of this place, spent a few days of this week in Akron, Ohio. C. R. Thoman, who is suffering an attack of rheumatism at his home here is convalescing.
