    2. October Court- The following criminal cases were disposed of last week: Com vs F. P. Molloy, furnishing liquor to minors. Guilty Com vs George Cosden, charged with furnishing liquor to minors. The defendant being dead, the case was nolle prossed at the cost of the county. Com vs Alfred S. Acuff, false pretense. Case settled by the parties. Com vs James R. Stewart, aggravated assault and battery. Case settled on payment of all costs by defendant. Com vs Henry Daughenbaugh, surety of the peace. Case settled on payment of all costs by the defendant. Com vs William F. Vaughn, assault and battery. Case settled on payment of all costs by the defendant. Com vs William Kochendarfer, aggravated assault and battery. Case settled on payment of all costs by the defendant. Com vs William Kelly, furnishing liquor to minors. Guilty. Com vs Christ Vasey. The defendant pleaded guilty to an assault and was sentenced to pay a fine of $5 and costs of prosecution. Com vs Grant Maughamore. The defendant pleaded guilty of fornication and bastardy. Usual sentence. Com vs Samuel Delancey, larceny. Sentenced to pay a fine of $1, costs of prosecution and three months in jail. Com vs. Curtin H. Askey, fornication and bastardy. The defendant failing to appear when called, his recognizance was forfeited. Com vs Lloyd Everhart, Elmer Miller and William Clawson, cruelty to animals. Sentence deferred. Com vs Julius Walls, cruelty to animals. A nolle pros was entered on motion of District Attorney. Com vs George Schell, defrauding a boarding house keeper. Sentenced to pay a fine of $1 and costs of prosecution. Com vs George Shellenberg, fornication and bastardy. Guilty and the usual sentence. The case of the Com vs John Bowers and Rachel Bowers, assault upon Frank Burke. Defendants acquitted and ordered to pay one half the costs of prosecution and that Frank Burke pay the other one half costs of prosecution. Com vs George Kemberling, larceny. Sentence deferred. Com vs Thomas L. Enyeart, charged with assault and battery upon P. E. Coll. Not guilty. Com vs George B. Malone, larceny. Guilty. Com vs John Park and Chas. Van Zandt, malicious mischief. Pleaded guilty. Sentence deferred. Com vs William Stiffler, fornication and bastardy and incest. Plead guilty. Sentence deferred. Com vs John Clark, malicious mischief and assault and battery. The defendant pleaded guilty. Sentence deferred. Com vs B. W. Harvey, defrauding Jennie Mills out of a board bill; guilty. Sentenced to pay the costs of prosecution. Com vs Henry McKee, breaking a lock off the station house at Roaring Spring. Not guilty. Com vs Jacob Stewart; plead guilty of furnishing liquor to miners and was sentenced to pay a fine of $5.00 costs and twenty days in jail. Com vs Jacob Stewart and Albert Ruggles, cruelty to animals. Plead guilty and were sentenced to pay a fine of $10.00 and jointly costs of prosecution and each four months in jail. Com vs Edward Davis, cruelty to animals. On motion of District Attorney a nolle pros was entered. Com vs Calvin Albright, fornication and bastardy. Com vs Jacob A. Hyle. Misappropriation of partnership funds. The defendant failing to appear when the case was called for trial, his recognizance was forfeited. Com vs Christ Glaub. Rape. Settled on payment of cost by the defendant. Com vs John P. Montgomery. Cruelty to animals. Settled on payment of costs by the defendant. Com vs John Foley. Fornication and bastardy. Continued until next sessions on application of district attorney. Com vs Crawford Funk. Defrauding a boarding house keeper. Continued until next session. Com vs Calvin Albright. Fornication and bastardy. Guilty of fornication, but not of bastardy. Com vs John B. Carey. Assault and battery. Not guilty, but pay the costs. Com vs Edward Bennett. Malicious mischief, not guilty, but pay the costs. Com vs George Wise. Stealing from an employer and embezzlement by agent. Nolle pros entered. Com vs Charles Freet, Ira Freet, Harry Hook, Charles Storm, William Wertz, Levi Lord, James Van Zandt, Charles Montgomery and Edward Montgomery. Larceny. Charles Freet, Ira Freet, Harry Hook, Charles Storm, Charles Montgomery and Edward Montgomery plead guilty and submitted. Sentence deferred. Com vs Harry Miller and Frank Burke. Riot. Case tried and the jury found the defendants guilty. Com vs Christ Vasey. Larceny. The defendant plead guilty and submitted. Sentenced to pay a fine of $20 and costs of prosecution and six months in the county jail. Com vs James Gromiller. Furnishing liquor to minors and to men of known intemperate habits.
