    3. HOLLIDAYSBURG SOLDIER HURT DURING BATTLE Mrs. Margaret Tolston of Hollidaysburg received a message from the war department yesterday stating that her son, Eugene A. Metzgar was seriously wounded while in action on Oct. 12. The young man is 18 years of age, and enlisted in Company G, 110th Infantry in 1917, going to Camp Hancock for training. He was later transferred to Camp Merritt, from where he accompanied his command to France. Before entering the army, he was employed by the Pennsy in the round house at Hollidaysburg. In the message, it was not stated as to what the nature of the wounds are and his many friends at the county capital will hope that he will speedily recover.
