I would recommend the Hampton Inn on Plank Road in Altoona, your breakfast is included in the price of the room. Close by is a new Cracker Barrel, Don Pablo's (Mexican), Outback Steakhouse, TGI Friday's, etc. It's only five minutes to Hollidaysburg from there. You are right across from the Logan Valley Mall and Walmart and TJ Maxx are right down the street. (In case you want to do any shopping in addition to doing your genealogy research!)
