    2. Local Police Notes Otto Long will be given a hearing Wednesday evening, before Alderman Shuff, on a charge of assault and battery, preferred by W. B. Grove. Samuel Joseph, charged with assault and battery by M. Davis, was given a hearing before Alderman Crawford last night, paid the costs and the case dismissed. Catharine Barnacle has made information before Alderman Louis Casey, charging D. B. Swayne with assault and battery. The hearing is scheduled for this afternoon. ------------------------------------- The Accident Record While Samuel E. Bartley of 2509 West Chestnut avenue, a barber employed by C. S. Regular Correspondent The weather was cold enough to freeze ice a few nights. Miss Bessie Camerer is better after a bad spell of neuralgia. Some of our people fear the fruit is injured by the recent cold snap. Mrs. John Rodkey of Hollidaysburg was with friends here Friday. Mr. Emery Hainley of Philadelphia was with his parents here last week. Mr. John Camerer has beautified his home by extensive improvements. There will be preaching and communion here next Sunday morning. Several of our citizens went to Roaring Spring last Sunday evening to hear Rev. J. E. Stone preach the baccalaureate sermon in the Reformed church. Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Bassler and daughter, Tressa, of Woodbury, visited their daughter, Mrs. Herbert Speilman. Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Ayers are home after seeing their son, Dean, safely in his home in Henrietta. Dean is getting well after a very serious operation, performed by Dr. W. A. Nason at the Roaring Spring hospital. --------------------------------------- Get Car Shop Jobs Frank Randolph and Samuel Wilson of McAlevy's Fort, Huntingdon county, have come to this city where they have secured employment in the car shops.
