STRAY HORSE Came to the residence of the Subscriber some time since, living in Cambria Township, about 5 miles north of Ebensburg, a DARK BAY HORSE with three white feet and a star in his forehead. The owner can redeem said Horse by proving property, paying charges and taking him away. David Smith August 11, 1831 -------------------------------------------------------------------- INFORMATION WANTED A man by the name of JOHN REES, (a Welchman) who emigrated to this country about a year ago, leaving a wife and one child in Wales, bringing with him his wife's sister, with who he lived as man and wife. She had since a child, which is now abut nine months old, lately his wife came in search of him, he acknowledged her to be his lawful wife & cohabited with for two weeks, then left her, and took with him some of her wearing apparel, in a day or two after (being the 29th of July last) the aforesaid sister named Mary, eloped, and has not been heard of since; took her clothes and child (a boy) with her. The said John Rees is rather slim, of a middle size, upright walk, dark hair and complexion, Cooper by trade and fond of hunting. The said Mary is short and stout built, round and freckled face, talks broken English and a scar on the upper side of her right wrist. He left sundry debts unpaid, and it is supposed they have gone together to an unknown part, and probably changed their names. Any information respecting them will be thankfully received by the Post Master at Ebensburg.
