    2. Marriage Record Wesley-Rouzer At the parsonage of the Simpson Methodist church Mr. Paul Wesley of 524 Fourth avenue and Miss Charlotte E. Rouzer of 519 Second avenue, were united in marriage last evening at 9 o'clock. Rev. Vaughn T. Rue, pastor of the church, performed the beautiful ring ceremony in the presence of their immediate families of the high contracting parties. Mr. Wesley is employed by Pennsylvania railroad as a machinist and his bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. D. B. Rouzer and is an estimable young lady. Immediately following the ceremony the happy couple left on train no. 10 for Philadelphia and other points of interest. They will be the guests of the bride's sister, Mrs. F. B. White, of Philadelphia. Upon their return Mr. and Mrs. Wesley will reside at 519 Second avenue. Bassler-Snively Mrs. Elizabeth Bassler and Mrs. George Snively, both prominent residents of Woodbury, were united in marriage at 8 o'clock Thursday evening by Rev. A. G. Herr, pastor of the Martinsburg and Woodbury Church of God. The beautiful ring ceremony was used and the marriage performed in the presence of immediate members of the families of the contracting parties. Mrs. Bassler is one of Woodbury's prominent residents and has been living a retired life for the past several years while the bridegroom holds a responsible position in the Hoover flour mill of that place. They will reside at Woodbury. Licensed In Cumberland Marriage licenses were granted yesterday in Cumberland, Md., to Ellsworth Hagey and Leah Bertha Kauffman, both of Altoona; John Franklin Willer and Rannie Kauffman, both of Henrietta; Joseph Howard Campbell and Ada Betchel Guyer, both of New Enterprise; Clyde F. Foust of Altoona and Linda Martin of Tiffin, O. ---------------- Pulls Boy From Train Deputy Officer Charles Robinson of Johnstown on Thursday pulled a boy from the bumper of train No. 1. The youth gave his name as William S. Landstreet of St. Louis. He was thinly clad in a summer suit, and when found, was near death from exposure. The boy declared that through the kindness of a gate-keeper in this city, he was enabled to slip through and board the train. --------------------------------- LOCAL POLICE RECORD W. S. Bennett, jr., made information before 'Squire W. B. Fickes, charging George Stitt with assault and battery. The hearing is scheduled for 3 o'clock this afternoon. William Knott, who was the first man arrested in the new year, was given a hearing in police court last evening, on a charge of drunkenness, and was discharged with a reprimand. William Banks was arrested at 1415 Eleventh avenue, late last night, for drunkenness and disorderly conduct. He had fired a revolver, but claimed it was accidentally discharged as he was getting his keys from his pocket. Thomas Vanbeskirk, the Juniata brakeman who was held for court on a charge of criminally assaulting and threatening to kill Gladys Horton, has been released on bail, Mayor Walker fixing the bail at $1,000. Vanbeskirk denies the charges against him. Earl Imler, a butcher having a stand at the market house, has made information before Squire Fickes, charging Max Klein, another butcher, with attacking him with a cleaver and threatening him. Klien will be given a hearing Thursday evening. L. A. Hirsch, representing the Independent Tailoring company of Pittsburgh, with offices in the McCrory building, has been charged by Mrs. Hannah Conlon with obtaining money by false pretense. He gave bail for a hearing Monday afternoon before Alderman Leake. Mrs. Isabella Harper, made information before Squire W. B. Fickes, charging her husband, Samuel Harper, a former Altoona policeman, with assault and battery, desertion, and non-support. Mrs. Harper is in the Altoona hospital and Harper is held for a hearing.
