Hello Listers: My grandfather's brother, John D. Hainley, before a Justice of the Peace in relation to a Civil War pension request. The Justice, J. F. Bair, wrote after being duly sworn: "That he is unable to furnish Church record as he has no knowledge of his father belonging to a church and his mother belonged to a Wineganarian Church and can not locate any records and the family bible has disappeared and he is unable to locate it." Does anyone have a clue as to a "Wineganarian Church"? The family lived in the Martinsburg area and John D. Hainley and his wife Sarah Alice Roller were married in the Martinsburg Methodist Church.
