This case was on trial on Thursday and the jury rendered a verdict yesterday morning, finding the defendant not guilty but that he pay $32.57, the costs of prosecution. Com. vs. W. B. Tompkins. Assault and battery on John G. Kline, in Altoona. The jury found the defendant guilty. He was sentenced to pay $30 fine, costs of prosecution and to give bail to lead a more peaceable life. Com vs. Jacob Peck. Rape; rape on a female child under 16 years of age; fornication and bastardy. A nolle pros. was entered and the case was settled. Com. vs. David Leonard, Henry Myers and Harry Mentzer. Charged with breaking into the station house at McKees, and stealing money, Jamaica ginger and cigars. An evening session of court was held yesterday, at which time the criminal list was cleared of cases. Sentences will be imposed Monday morning at 9 o'clock. Court met at 9 o'clock this morning when a jury was selected in the civil case of Peter Good vs. Altoona city. -------------------- Marriage Record Cohn-Cohn Mr. L. B. Cohn, a rising young merchant of this city, was united in marriage in the city of Williamsport, on Thursday last, to Miss Ray Cohn, of that city, Rev. Dr. Lavi officiating. After a wedding trip to New York city the bride and groom and arrived in this city at noon today.
