This case was on trial on Thursday and the jury rendered a verdict yesterday morning, finding the defendant not guilty but that he pay $32.57, the costs of prosecution. Com. vs. W. B. Tompkins. Assault and battery on John G. Kline, in Altoona. The jury found the defendant guilty. He was sentenced to pay $30 fine, costs of prosecution and to give bail to lead a more peaceable life. An evening session of court was held yesterday, at which time the criminal list was cleared of cases. Sentences will be imposed Monday morning at 9 o'clock. Cohn, a rising young merchant of this city, was united in marriage in the city of Williamsport, on Thursday last, to Miss Ray Cohn, of that city, Rev. Dr. Lavi officiating. After a wedding trip to New York city the bride and groom and arrived in this city at noon today.
