    2. (Continuing June Court) Com. vs. John M. Bradley. False pretense. This case was settled by parties. Com. vs. W. R. Vaughn. Charged with stealing a dog, the property of Harry Buoymaster, in Altoona. This case was tried and the jury found the defendant not guilty. Com. vs. W. R. Vaughn and John Roddy. This case involved the ownership of a dog which was claimed by the defendants and Harry Buoymaster, the prosecutor. Buoymaster called at the home of Vaughn in Altoona to demand the possession of the dog and in the dispute which arose Buoymaster received a severe beating. The jury acquitted Vaughn and found Roddy guilty of simple assault and battery. Com. vs. H. E. Schneider. Charged with aggravated assault and battery on Amos Ramsey. The jury was on this case when court adjourned. Com. vs. Z. T. Six. Maliciously breaking fences. Continued to next court sessions. Com. vs. Hannah J. Daniels and Sadie Daniels. Accessory to rape. Continued until next court sessions. In the case of the Commonwealth vs. Charles Chambers. Keeping a bawdy house in Altoona. This case was returned to the Grand Jury for examination of two witnesses not previously before the jury. The Grand Jury afterwards found a true bill against Chambers. One of the most important cases tried at our present sessions of court was the case of the Commonwealth against Martin Donnelly and Peter Donnelly. The defendants were charged with the larceny of brass from the Pennsylvania Railroad company and the "receiving of the same, knowing it to have been stolen." The jury, after an hour's deliberation, found the defendants guilty of receiving the stolen brasses, knowing the same to have been stolen. ----------------------- Marriage Record Simons-Johnson Last evening at 8 o'clock, at the residence of he bride's parents, Mr. George M. Simons was united in marriage with Miss Kate Johnson. Rev. T. P. Orner, of the Second United Brethren church performed the ceremony. It is the intention of the young people to go to housekeeping in this city, a house being furnished for their immediate occupancy. Clabaugh-Kinney At 9 o'clock last night, at the residence of Rev. T. P. Orner, pastor of the Second United Brethren church, Mr. Benjamin Clabaugh was united in matrimony with Miss Emma L. Kinney.
