I am researching the GROVES of Blair County, specifically Hollidaysburg. My proven line is Charles GROVES married to Mary WINDEL on 26 July 1848 in Hollidaysburg. They are on the 1850 Hollidaysburg census, later moving to Allegany County, MD (1880 census). I believe Charles is the son of William GROVES who died in Hollidaysburg on 28 Jan 1849. I have no proof. I am seeking the following: 1. Mary WINDEL parents names from the Marraige Records. 2. Charles GROVES parents names from the Marraige Records. 3. Copy of Obituary for William GROVES which is in the Hollidaysburg Register newspaper on 31 Jan 1849.
