    3. Bicycle Races on July Fourth. The grandest racing event in the history of Central Pennsylvania will be the bicycle races at the Altoona Driving park on the afternoon of July 4. Over 100 entries for the various events have thus far been received and include the best riders from Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Johnstown, Pittsburg and other parts of Pennsylvania, and include Lawrence M. Taylor, the winner of all events at Schenley park, Pittsburg, on Decoration Day, and it is, therefore, expected that the fastest time ever made in competition in Altoona will be the result of hard and earnest training. The prizes offered are the best ever before given for a similar event. All entries close Monday, July 3, at 12 noon, and races will start promptly at 2.30 on the afternoon of the Fourth.
