Hi Dani I've got this obit & I was just curious if this Gunsallus was anyone familiar to your family. I have a Bonsell married in an Ebbs line of mine & I was looking to see if there was anything that matched & I ran across our Gunsallus name again. Frank Barr Bonsell Mr. Bonsell, 77, of 2518 Dysart Ave. died at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 1983, in Mercy Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. Bonsell retired as a meat cutter and grocer in 1967. He was born Dec. 27, 1905 in Tyrone, the son of George W. and Carrie Mae (Gunsallus) Bonsell and Aug. 18, 1926, in Cumberland, MD., married Ruth A. Steir. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Lana Philippi of State College; two granddaughters and two great grandsons. Also surviving are four brothers and sisters; Amelia McFarland, Caroline Miller, Clarance and George W. of Tyrone. Mr. Bonsell was a member of the Broad Avenue United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Broad Avenue. BONSELL - Services for Frank B. Bonsell of 2618 Dysart Ave. will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., Broad Avenue, by the Rev. William W. Kauffman. Interment in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., Broad Avenue. In remembrance of Mr. Bonsell, those who wish may make memorials to Broad Avenue United Methodist Church.
