I just read the posting mentioning Plank Road and that jogged a memory in connection with my family. Does anyone on the List know anything about a restaurant and lunch owned and run by the BLAIR family on Plank Road? On the 1910 Census Edward Blair (22) and Mary (24) lists the restaurant and lunch as his occupation. I believe this Edward to be William Edward BLAIR son of Samuel and Margaret (O'NEAL) BLAIR. Samuel and Margaret are my gr. grandparents and according to Samuel's obit he died at his son's home on Plank Road. Friday, September 23, 1932 Samuel A. Blair a former resident of Six Mile Run; where he was a justice of the peace for many years, died last Thursday at the home of his son, Edward Blair, Plank Road, Blair County. Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon from Church of God at Six Mile Run, Interment in the Duval Cemetery Any information appreciated.
