Leather Stocking is a region in NY state, north of the Catskills. Anyway, In this book is a chart of Richard Ashcraft, 3 Feb 1817 - 12 Jun 1870. Of the 10 children of Richard Ashcraft, 2 boys married Lantzy girls. They are: 1)Minnesota Ashcraft 1856 Married 19 Aug 1883, Matilda Lantzy 1866 (d.o. Ambrose Lantzy) 2)Richard Ashcraft 1862 Married date NR Margaret Lantzy date NR Does anyone know anything about these couples? Are both of these Lantzy girls sisters? Is Margaret also the d.o. Ambrose Lantzy and Elizabeth Robinson? Did Minnesota die young? Did Matilda marry a Pentico? Thanks for any clues on these 2 families.
