Cindy & List: Perhaps you could help me find the mother & father for 4 GRAY children that I found living with relatives in the 1900 Blair Co. Census. Evidently both parents died??? They are: ---------------------------------------------------------------- In the 1900 Blair Co., PA Census (Juniata Borough, 2nd Avenue) Gray, Florence E. born Jan 1884, niece Gray, Hattie M. born April 1886, niece Gray, Nora M. born July 1888, niece The above 3 girls are living with Daniel and Jennie LAFFERTY, Anna LAFFERTY (mother of Daniel) and James A. TANEYHILL (Father-in-law of Daniel). --------------------------------------------------------------- In the 1900 Census, Blair Co., Logan Twp. Is another GRAY boy living without parents: GRAY, James A., nephew, born Dec. 1883. James is living with Blair MOORE, Clara MOORE, (hus/wife) and their children Ida J. Viola, Charles and Mayora MOORE. --------------------------------------------------------------- Since these GRAY children are listed as nieces and a nephew to the head of households (Daniel Lafferty & Blair Moore) I know that they must be the children of one of the female Lafferty sisters. The only one that I don't know the spouse's name is Emily Lafferty so this could possibly be the mother. Does any of this sound familiar to you or anyone on the list?
