I have also included a copy of Ron Weaver's obituary. "Ronald R. WEAVER, 69, 30130 Edinborough Drive, Mechanicsville, Md., formerly of Saxton, died at 11 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, [Prince George's Co.] Md. His death was unexpected. Born March 12, 1933, in Saxton, he was the only child of Paul and Pauline (Avey) Weaver. His mother survives in Saxton. His father preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to the former Zula Watson June 5, 1955, in Broad Top City. Mrs. Weaver survives at their home. He is also survived by one daughter, Shirley G. Weaver, at home, and one son, Gary L. Weaver Sr., Mechanicsville, Md. There is one grandson. Mr. Weaver was a member, throughout his Life, of the Church of God. He was a member of several genealogy organizations. A graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School, he also graduated from Penn State University with a BS in petroleum engineering. He studied patent law for two years at American University, Washington, D.C. He retired from the U.S. Patent Office, Washington, D.C. For several years, he was the manager of Hobby Warehouse, Springfield, Va. He enjoyed camping and traveling. Along with his family, he camped in 48 states. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. Friday, Jan. 24, at the D. Ronald Long Funeral Chapel, Saxton, with Pastor James E. Lynn. assisted by James Snyder, officiating. Interment will be made in Fockler Cemetery, Saxton, R.R. Friends will be received at the funeral chapel from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to: The Saxton First Church of God, Shoup Street, Saxton, PA 16678."
