This is heart-wrenching news. I never met Annie but like so many on this list, I felt I knew her through her boundless acts of generosity towards all of us. Which, when you think of it, is a beautiful way to know someone. Carol, I hope you will convey to Annie's family the sympathies that so many people are expressing, and make sure they know how much Annie's "list family" will miss her, too.
