Altoona Mirror 11/22/2004 Shirley A. Thompson Mrs. Shirley A. Thompson, 71, of Adamstown, PA., died Nov. 21, 2004. She was born March 24, 1933, in Altoona, the daughter of Alfred E. Hupert and Viola E. (Lantz) Hupert Healy. She married Gordon "Joe" Thompson, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ephrata. She was a graduate of Altoona High School. She was employed by Bollman Hat Co., Adamstown, for 43 years and enjoyed playing cards. She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Thompson of Ephrata; a son, Gordon "Butch" (Donna Kauffman) Thompson of Reinholds, Pa.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia (S. Paul) Boggs of Sinking Spring, PA. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a grandson, Scot Alan; and a sister, Joan Brantner Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, at Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Inc., Reamstown, PA.
