    1. [PABLAIR-L] Farmer's Rice
    2. abbybowman
    3. Was wondering if anyone out there has ever heard of Farmer's Rice or has the recipe for it? My mother used to make it when we were young, and I believe it was something her mother made when she was growing up. They lived in Blair Co. from the 1930's - 60's, so I thought I would give this a shot in case it was something that had been popular in the local area. Thanks for any help.

    3. hi Maxine an list , The quick answer is NO , They would / should / could be enumerated at their Home , There is no reason to expect to find them listed with the prisoners , UNLESS he lived at the Prison , Actually a very simple thing to determine , You need to View the film that has the Prison on it , Where was the prison , State / county / town , ? look at the Index , The institutions are sometimes listed on a separate page ?? , Phil ----- Original Message ----- From: "max" <maxthemoose@worldnet.att.net> To: <PABLAIR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 20, 2002 5:05 AM Subject: [PABLAIR-L] Prison Cencus > Hi List, > I'm hoping that someone on the list can answer a question for me. 1. [PABLAIR-L] LAZUKA and Juniata and Juniata Twp.
    2. Charlene Szymusiak
    3. My Lazuka relatives came from Juniata, but I do not know which one of those two Juniata's you are referring to. They lived in a 'shanty town' area back in the 20's. They were very poor. Does anyone have an idea which area this would be? I have not been able to locate the family on either the 1920 or 1930 census but should be able to. I have been told Stefano Lazuka died in a railroad accident Feb 15, 1929. He left 5 children and a wife behind. His wife Josephine Hartacz Luzuka died three years later in an auto accident. 1. Re: [PABLAIR-L] Cemeteries, BCGS books.
    2. Lona Boudreaux
    3. Hi List, Thanks to all who answered this question. I started genealogy in the 1960's and it was slow and tough going. All my genealogy goes back to Pa. as I was born in New Kensington, Westmoreland Co. but have lived in Texas since 1952. After what seemed like getting no where and feeling like I was the only one out there researching my family, I gave it up in the early 1980's. I started back in the 1990's after my husband got e-mail and showed me how to surf the wed. Wow! I'm so glad I kept all the work I had done up to that time. I still have some of the same old brick walls but not as many. I've also had a few surprises. My Morgan line is a good example - even my aunt can't believe what I've found. Our family was under the impression that our grandmother, Mary Ann Morgan, and her two sisters were the only ones in her family to come to America and settle in Altoona, Pa. I excepted the family story but some of the information I was collecting made me wonder. To make a long story short I've now found her parents, a brother and what may be 4 sisters all living in Altoona. In the 1900 Pa. Census Mary Ann says she came to America in 1865 so I can only assume all her family came at that time. Mary Ann married David Laing May 11, 1868 in Altoona. That information comes from the old family bible. David came to America in 1863 from England and worked in the steel mills in Allegheny Co. and also Westmoreland Co. I now wonder how they met? Seems to me in 1868 Altoona and Allegheny Co. was a little bit of a drive. :0) Thanks again.
