Dear Listers, I'm seeking help with my brick walls. 1.) Adam FREDERICK (my g-g-g grandfather) was born in 1791, his wife Sarah DRESSLER was born 1793, they may have lived in Curryville, their son John D. Frederick (b. 1-20-1813) wed Elizabeth BURGET (b. 1-3-1817) and raised his family in N. Woodbury. He died in 1892 in Blair. I'm looking for death notices or anything else on Adam and Sarah. 2.) Abraham GIBSON. I have no birth or death info on him, all I know is that he may have worked for PRR and that his son Harry H. GIBSON was born in Duncansville in 1853. His wife's name may have been Sarah. Looking for him, his birth or death dates, obit, cemetery, marriage--ANYTHING! 3.) William WEIR came to PA from Scotland in 1887 with 3 children-Wm. Jr. b. 1881, AGNES McALLISTER b. 1883, and Mary b. 1886. 1900 census found him in Logan Twp Blair CO married to a Mary from Germany with 5 Keiper step-children. Would like to find naturalization papers, death cert, obit, anything on him, especially who the mother of his 3 children was as well as where they came from in Scotland. I DO know that Agnes was born in Motherwell, Scotland. I know this is a lot to ask, but if someone could point me in the right direction, I will be more than happy to head back to PA for more research. Also, where can a genealogist find inexpensive lodging near Altoona/Hollidaysburg while they're in town? Michele Gibson-Pierson Michigan

I am comming to the conclusion that Peter DUNN and Mary GLUNT were born in PA and that THEIR parents might have come from Ireland. I know that I shouldn't take things at face value. I was just trying to see what or if there was any truth to what was said many years ago. It is my understanding the Catherine/Kathryn DUCK married a John ROBINSON and had a son Thomas W. b. 1867, then for what ever reason she remarried to a Unknown GLUNT. It is also possible that Julia K. and Catherine/Katherine are the same. All this would have occurred in the Altoona area sometime between 1867-1946. Hi there Fellow rooters........ Was hoping someone might be able to direct me to where I might find an indexed 1900 Census... I am searching for my paternal Grandmother and have been unable to locate her in any census prior to her marriage to my grandfather...(O dont know where they married either) I know she was born in Bedford Co. 1879 but she doesn't show with her family in 1880 Census which I have. I know she was a housekeeper for 2 families in the Bedford area the Merkles and the Detwillers (the Dairy Family) but have been unable to find her or those families... I am searching these 3 coounties as thaey are possible places of marriage as my grandfather was in Huntingdon Co. in the 1900 Census. Any help would be most appreciated. Her name is Nan Irene Sipes.. She went by Irene and Nan also Mammie..... Any help would be greatly appreciated... Kim Williams Portland Oregon
