When I was a kid in the 1950s & 60s we visited my aunt in Altoona. She lived at 120 5th Ave. There was a store down the street from her named "Cross's". Clearfield County in 1900 has about 11 Cross families.

in 1920 they are in Juniata Township with one child Henrietta C age 8

Also, in the 1930 census he is listed not as Thomas Cross, but F. Thomas Cross, so check earlier census records for him listed as Frederick or F. THomas.

The are only 2 Cross families in the 1900 Census index , one Andrew Cross in Hollidaysburg, and one George W Cross in the 7th Ward. If you have an Ancestry subscription you could try looking them up for a son Thomas.

Hi. I am searching for the ancestors of Thomas Frederick Cross. He was born circa 1889. I have had trouble finding info on his parents and beyond. He married Nina May Bywater and they had three daughters, Betty (Stepp), Dorothy (Cole) and Catherine who never married. If anyone has any info, I would appriciate the help. Thanks in advance.
