Hi Listers, I'm researching Leamer Family. I have the following information: 1930 census, Duncansville PA James C. Johnson - 35 Irene (Leamer) - 34 Children: Alverda - 16 (married ? Hugar) Dorothy - 13 (married ? Calhoun) Helen - 11 (married ? Lehman) James - 8 In obit for Irene Leamer Johnson: She died 11-21-1990 and had two surviving children: James Johnson and Helen Lehman living in Hyndman PA. Irene died at the Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born July 5, 1895, in Frankstown, the daughter of the late Perry and Alice McKee Leamer. She had four brothers; Frank, David, Homer and Lloyd and half brother, Perry. Three sisters; Nora, Clyde Pearl and Edith. Any infomation is greatly appreciated. Once an individual had his name drawn and was conscripted into military service what determined when he reported and what unit he became a part of. For example my great grandfather George Himes name was drawn Aug 23, 1863 in Huntington, Pennsylvania. George lived in Taylor Township, Blair county. I have records he served in the 186th Pennsylvania Volunteer, Company G that mustered in Philadelphia, from the 29th of January, to the 31st of May, 1864. How did he get in this company?
