    3. We didn't know Annie personally either. In fact, we're too busy to even work on our own genealogy right now....just watching to see if someone might be working on the same lines so we can share. We've seen Annie's kind interaction with everyone. I could not let the day go by without telling her family what a fine woman they had representing their family. Our sympathy for the family goes out to them. Bob and Mary Closson

    2. We are all very saddened to hear of the death of Annie Whiteman - she was a true friend to all of us, helping us in our genealogical searches and by posting obits and sending copies of those obits when requested. She was always cheerful and willing to help at the Blair Co. Gen. Society also. Please extend our love and prayers to her family from the Blair and Centre Co. List Groups. I intend to make a donation in her name to the Blair Co. Genealogical Society - to give something back for all that she has done for me. 3. I never met Annie, but I had a wonderful e-mail relationship with her, over the past six years or so. She was helpful, witty and a plain old pleasure to know. She did, indeed, go beyond the call of duty when it came to helping Blair researchers. My all-time great brick wall was in Blair County and Annie took a real interest in the tantalizing clues and discoveries I would tell her about. Her help contributed so much to knocking down the wall that it almost seemed it was one of her relatives I was seeking. Annie may be replaced, but she will never be duplicated. I miss her already. 3. Words cannot express how much I admired and respected Annie for her assistance, charm and wit. I was fortunate to have met her once while I was in PA researching; she remembered me by my flaming red hair. I would never have gotten this far without her help and the help of the list she administered. The list will be a less bright and cheerful place without her, as I know the BCGS was after her departure. Prayers to all of her family and friends during this sorrowful time. God bless and keep you all. Michele Gibson Pierson ________________________________________ PeoplePC Online A better way to Internet http://www.peoplepc.com

    3. Dear Friends, I am completely devastated to learn about losing Annie. She has been a great friend to me these past several years. She helped me find siblings that I had been searching for all of my life. Annie always knew exactly what to do and where to look. Annie spent many hours of her personal time helping me on my quest. In fact, Annie taught me how to do genealogy. She blasted through so many of my brick walls that she should have had the title of superhero. Instead, she was really our angel. A great sense of humor, but most of all very dedicated to our online community. I especially enjoyed all the stories she shared about the love she had for her family. Not only is there a hole in the world where Annie should be, tonight there is a hole in my heart... Please share my deepest sympathy with her family.
