Hullo Listers I am trying to get in touch with members of the Anders family of Reading. I have had recent communication from a member of their family. Since my response I have not heard further - I do not know if my reply was received I am a grand-niece of Harry Anders who's brother Frank died on the USS Maine in Havana Harbour. Harry Anders is my Grandfather William's brother. William Anders was brought up in Adelaide, South Australia and Harry corresponded with him as a child - he regaled stories of the Spanish-American War - Harry was with the 4th Pennsylvania Volunteers. Copies of these letters should be housed along with other information recently lodged (by Harry Anders' grand-daughter Janet) with the historical society I would love to hear from someone that can help Regards Chris in Hahndorf South Australia
