    3. I have the book 'Guide to Naturalization Records of the United States' by hristina K. Schaefer. That book indicates that the original records are at he Berks County Court of Common Pleas. For dates 1798-1915it lists a film umber (0020505 ff.) Are these records available via the internet? Or ould I or someone have to go to the Courthouse and look at the film. Are here any other sources for this information? You can get that information online from the Berks County Prothonotary: http://prothy.co.berks.pa.us/search_genealogical/ProthMain.htm -----Original Message----- From: paberks-request <paberks-request@rootsweb.com> To: paberks <paberks@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thu, Aug 30, 2012 3:04 am Subject: PABERKS Digest, Vol 7, Issue 176 ==== PABERKS Mailing List ==== When replying to a digest message, quote only the specific message to which you re replying, removing the rest of the digest from your reply. REBE - 1900 Census indicates he was naturalized; the 1920 census says that he naturalization year is 1870 (although it is hard to read and maybe it is 871 or 1878) I have the book 'Guide to Naturalization Records of the United States' by hristina K. Schaefer. That book indicates that the original records are at he Berks County Court of Common Pleas. For dates 1798-1915it lists a film umber (0020505 ff.) Are these records available via the internet? Or ould I or someone have to go to the Courthouse and look at the film. Are here any other sources for this information? And I am also interested in finding out if my gg grandfather MOSES (MORRIS) ONTEFIORE ANCONA ever was naturalized. He arrived to Philadelphia at some oint between 1809 and 1812. Because he was a British citizen he had to ove inland once the War of 1812 began. That is when he came to Berks ounty. He lived in or near Berks County for the rest of his life and died n 1854. I have no records of whether he ever applied for naturalization uch less completed the process. Any ideas of where I might search for that nformation?
