(These two townships & counties, were literally side-by-side). Frederick Ernigh, arrived in the USA, in 1732, along with his Wife, Anna, and two children (one boy, Frederick, one girl, Maria), aboard the Ship, "Pennsylvania Merchant", on September 11th. Frederick Earney's abstract and will: Found at Colebrookdale (Berks County, Pennsylvania) Feb 21 1771- Mar 21 1771 Vol 2-86 To wife Anna Maria, all estate during life and after her decease, to my youngest son Michael, paying legacies as follows. To my eldest dau Margaret, wife of Barnhard Zweitzich £15.7.6 To oldest son Jacob £60 To second son John £50 To second dau Elizabeth wife of Abraham Dungelbarger £30 Exr: friend Mathias Roath Wit: Adam Roth, James Richards (Translated from German) [Now for decades, this Frederick's son, Jacob, has been confused with a Jacob Arney, who left his Will, dated in 1782, in Lincoln County, North Carolina. When Jacob Earney (1728-1776), son of Frederick Earney, died in 1776, in Pennsylvania, leaving behind a Widow (Barbara), and yet to be born son, Frederick (1776-1851).] (This is not my direct ancestor, Frederick Ernigh, I descend from the "other" Jacob Arney, who died in Lincoln County, North Carolina. However, it doesn't mean that this family may not be part of mine, somehow.) So, any information, on this family, Frederick Ernigh, that anyone can provide, would be deeply appreciated. Thank you, for your time, consideration, and cooperation. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
