Thank you Betty, I can cross that off my list, I am trying to find out information on a Daniel Kelchner and Magdalena Keller, who were mar. to each other. I found this in "History of Berks Co.,PA. "Michael Kelchner, son of Matthias was a taxable in 1759, in Richmond twp. He married Maria Eva Frey, whose tombstone bears the flowering inscription. Maria Eva Freyin, wife of Michael Kelchner, had 4 sons, 1 daughter. In 1761 she married Peter Stetzler. With him she had 5 sons. She was first married in 1752. She was born 24 Jun 1730, died 14 March 1807, aged 70 years 8 mos. 10 days." She is buried at Zion's Church in Perry twp. Three of Michael Kelchner's children were John mar. and had a son Henry; Jacob, mar. (1st) Magdalena Wanner and had children-- Catherine, Maria Elizabeth and Daniel. and (2nd) Maria Wanner and had children; Jacob, Samuel (who had an only son, Isaac0, Mary and Hannah; Daniel." I would appreciate hearing from anyone with a Kelchner connection to Daniel b. abt. 1809 and Magdelena (Keller) Kelchner b. abt. 1816. Any help is appreciated. W F age 2 Dau. at home Daniel W M age 70 Father old retire My conclusions: "you can see that the name changed spelling. My family spelled it KELICHNER, I have also seen it KELLICHNER. I believe this is Daniel Kelichner/ Kelchner my gg grandfather. I cannot find proof of Daniel actually living in Jefferson Co., Pa. at this time. However these children of his showed up in several census in Jefferson Co., Pa. 1. Samuel, in Jefferson Co., Pa. at age 10 living with Philip Trexler Census 1860, 1880. In 1870 Samuel is found with the family of Henry Kuntz, listed as age 20 , labor 2. Daniel, in Gaskill Twp.,Jefferson Co. 1860 census living with Abraham Keller Bro of his mother Magdalena and Banks Twp.,Indiana Co. Pa. in 1880 Census. Daniel's wife died in Indiana Co. Daniel died in Punxsutawney, Pa. 3. George Washington, AKA as Washington and G.W. Gaskill Twp.,Jefferson Co., Pa. 1880 & 1900 census G.W. is in Gaskill Twp. Jefferson, Co.,Pa. 4. Mary is a possible.
