The Reading Eagle archives are on Google. You must do a search of Google Books, and when you find the paper you are looking for, go to the date of interested, and then search the paper day by day page by page, until you find the information you need. I wish I could tell you to use the Google search but for the old newspapers it does not and has never worked. Reading Eagle Newspapers can be found at: http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=ZuSUVyMx-TgC I believe that the Reading Eagle is available for about 1868 into the 1900's. PS: in your search if you ever find an obituary for a Mary (Maria) Barlet born in 1795 and married to a Joseph (Joshua) Barlet please contact me. She is found in the 1870 census in the 6th Ward Rickstown of Reading. Her death date is after 1873. the exact date is unknown.
