(This is where I have my own tree posted.) What I search for are the sources that people used to create their family tree. As long as the source is not another family tree, it is worth investigating. I ran across the book, "Pennsylvania Births Berks County 1710-1780" on one such search. I don't recall if the person who posted it included the page numbers. However, it doesn't matter. I then contacted my local library (which does not have the book in its collection) and requested an interlibrary loan. Since reference books are not loaned out to other libraries, they only copy the pages that you request; or, in this case, they look for the surname you are looking for in the index and then send you those pages. Because this is a library "loan", there is usually no charge, although they would appreciate a nice "thank you." Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
