This query regards my ancestor Anna Barbara Schaffer (born around 1730) who married Nicholas Brosius (Johan Nicolaus) "at Atalhoe" 14 April 1752. Around the time of the Revoltionary War Barbara and Nicholas settled in Northumberland County, PA. Countless Schaffer (and variations) as well as Brosius (wuth variations) lines "came to be" in Northumberland County, PA. BUT the point of this query is to ask for me, a signifcant question: Can anyone weigh in as to the identity of the parents of Anna Barbara Schaffer who married Nicholas Brosius (Brosious)? Over the course of decades (yes) I have seen a remarkable cast of candidates from internet postings for the parents of Anna Barbara Schaffer. Recently I made a list and I think I came up with around a half dozen couples who show as parents of this specific Barbara Schaffer who married Nicholas Brosius.! (Without checking I recall seing Adam, Caper, Johannes and others for her father). I would love to hear from anyone who believes she/he has good, solid, and ideally documented information for the true parents of Anna BARBARA Schaffer Brosious. Thanks so much in advance!
