He was my 7th great-grandfather. Thank you for all of the information provided here. I plan to visit the Dunkel Family Cemetery in the near future. FYI: my father was John Austin Dunkel, 1930-2011; his father was Richard Newton Dunkel, 1902-1969; and his father was Newton John Dunkel, 1878-?. The farthest back I have been able to go in the direct line of my father is Jacob Dunkel, 1800-1880.
