    3. Hello, does either the Humphrey or Meldrum book show anything for a Friedrich Kercher (Carrier) or any of their children? Friedrich and Anna Barbara were married in 1755 in Trappe Lutheran in Trappe, PA. Thanks. I am researching the descendants of Heinrich Kohl of Allen Township, Northampton County, PA and I found your reply to a message posted on a rootsweb.com message board.??? I was wondering if you had any information on the descendants of Heinrich's daughter Catherine.??? The family tree I was given shows she married a Joseph Musselman but I haven't been able to prove that.??? Any information that you may be able to provide on this family would be most helpful. ??? I am looking for Harter/Herder records from about 1750 to 1770. Specifically, I am looking for births of Georg and Eva Harter's other children: Georg, Christina, Adam, Frantz, Jacob, Conrad, Elizabeth, Magdalena, Dorothea, and Catharina. At that time their name was most frequently spelled Herder. I found their wedding (26 Oct 1752) and the birth -- or christening -- of their oldest son, Christian (4 Aug 1753), in Lehigh County records. In 1769 the family shows up in the Frederick County, MD, church records and I have reason to believe that during the interval they just might have been in the Tulpehocken region. Ch from 1745, and from Altalaha Ch from 1757 -- all in Tulpehocken or Upper Tulpehocken Tp Charlotte Meldrum's MARRIAGES & DEATH OF MONTGOMERY CO PA 1685-1800 also doesn't show any of them. An Elisabeth H?rder [a umlaut] married George Fenstermacher 30 Aug 1796 in Heidelberg Tp, Lehigh Co, per the Johs. Helffrich personal and pastoral records. If your HERDER family left earlier, she may belong to the Martin HERDER who shows up in the area in the 1790s. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I was hoping to find something there. Thanks for checking. Elizabeth might be the daughter of Georg and Eva Harter, but I would not want to hang my hat on it. She is more likely the daughter of Martin because most of George and Eva's family was in southern Virginia by this time. I have absolutely no information on her beyond 1784 when she took communion with the family. She would have been 22 years old at that time. So the search goes on -- where were they between Christian's birth in 1753 and their 1769 appearance in Fredrick County?????
