She was the daughter of Johann Jacob Wetzel and Anna Maria Bassler. Currently my brother and I are trying to prove a connection between Johannes Frederick who arrived in 1738 on the Friendship. We are thinking our Frederick family was either from Alsace by way of Switzerland or directly from Switzerland so your mother's news is very exciting.
