Looking for anyone who might have information about Mary C. DORANG who married Adam SCHWALB and resided in Reading, Berks Co in 1880. Widow Mary C. resided in the Wilkes-Barre after 1900. Mary C. is part of the Peter DORANG and Catharine KEPPLER family who originally resided in Schuylkill Co. (Note: we believe we have found the SCHWALB family back to Edesheim, Pfalz, Bayern.) I have been unsuccessful in finding information for the Peter DORANG and Catharine KEPPLER family in the 1860 and 1870s. Only known solid early records are the 1850 US Census entry in Blythe Twp, Schuylkill Co, PA and a Christening record for daughter Catharine (b: 16 Sep 1852) on 10 Oct 1852 and Christian on (b: 13 Jan 1848) on 30 Jan 1848 at St John the Baptist (German) Catholic Church, Pottsville, Schuylkill Co, PA. Son William is only found starting in 1880 in Wilkes-Barre. Daughter Mary C. is only found starting 1880 in Reading, Berks Co. The family is yet to be found in the 1860 and 1870 censuses. Unfortunately, there are many spelling variations of their DORANG surname.
