PA living in the residence of Charles Heller, Innkeeper 1850 Washington Twp., Berks Co., PA Roll 753, p. 33 George Gilbert, 46, farmer Sarah Gilbert, 45 Isaac Gilbert, 19 Elisabeth Gilbert, 17 Emeline Gilbert, 15 Harriet Gilbert, 13 Lydia Gilbert, 11 Rebecca Gilbert, 8 Malinda Gilbert, 5 1860 Dale PO, Washington Twp., Berks Co., PA Roll 1074 p. 791 Darlington Kulp, 34, ----- miller Elizabeth Kulp, 29 Deporah Kulp, 6 Sranna Kulp, 4 Manny Kulp, 1 Henry Kulp, 24, saw miller Montgomery Ledger, Pottstown, PA September 9, 1897 George Gilbert, of Gilbertsville, died yesterday morning of old age and general debility, aged about 93 years. His wife preceded him in death and the following children survive: Mrs. Annie Bartley, of Parkerford; Sarah, widow of Ed Eshbach; Isaac Gilbert, of Boyertown; Elizabeth wife of Darlington Kulp, of Shamokin; Malaria, wife of Frank Wagonhorst, of Reading; Harriet, wife of Amos Frick, Norristown; Rebecca, wife of Jonas Krause, of Gilbertsville, and Lydia Gilbert, residing at home. Deceased leaves 37 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the house. Services in St. John's Lutheran Church, Boyertown. Rev. J. E. Freeman will officiate at the house and Rev. A. M. Weber at church. Daily Pottstown Ledger, Pottstown, PA Monday, October 4, 1897 Boyertown, Oct. 4 - The funeral of George Gilbert, aged 93 years 10 months and 18 days, of Gilbertsville, took place on Saturday and was largely attended. The floral tributes consisted of a wheat sheaf. Services were held in St. John's Lutheran Church; Rev. A. M. Weber and Rev. J. E. Freeman officiated. The bearers were James Hendricks, Jacob Bickel, John Kepner and Jonas Christman. Interment was made at Fairview Cemetery. Undertakers D. C. Brumbach & Co. had charge.
