Baker is the Anglicization of the Germanic Becker. You certainly should check for both. Also, don't discount "Beck." A different surname but obviously easily confused, especially when the speaker has a thick German accent and the recorder is English. Also search for Becher, Bacher, Bachert, etc., as well as Peck/Pecker/Pachert/etc. I find this a difficult name to search due to the large number of possible variants in conjunction with the commonality of the surname.
