This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: DreisbachFalconer Surnames: DeTurk, Keim Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.berks/9860/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Katarina DeTurk (b.abt 1688,probably in France, d. 1731 in Oley Township) married Johannes Keim (b. 1675 d. 1753) a Huguenot and a very early immigrant to the Oley Valley. P.C. Croll,in "Annals of the Oley Valley" wrote fairly much about Johannes Keim, but I know very little about his wife, Katarina. Does anyone have information about Katarina DeTurk Keim, where she was born, who her parents were, when did she come to Pennsylvania and by what route (directly to Philadelphia or via a Huguenot colony in New York), etc. etc. Thanks, Marcia Falconer Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm afraid I do not have any information to help I only have their entries in my tree because they are the parents of Jacob Keim who married Magdalena Hoch which ties into my line. I have no other children listed for them and none for Jacob and Magdalena so if you have any details to round out the tree it would be wonderful. (I did not even have the birth and death dates.) Do you know where they are buried as I am planning a grave yard trip to PA in Sept? Good luck in your search.
