I agree, hard evidence is required - but it can be fun to speculate, as long as it doesn't become 'fact'. In other branches of my family, there are a few women who have several names although we are absolutely certain they are one and the same person. In one instance a woman is always referred to as Sally, but the baptismal records show her as Sarah. Usually the names are similar or else the name is written so poorly that it was transcribed incorrectly. This could be the case with Katarina. There are two siblings of Isaac's that might have been very poorly transcribed: Jacomina b. 1677 and Esther Cornelia b.1687. Although I have absolutely no evidence, neither have I seen the handwritten documents. "Cornelia" just possibly may be Katarina (similarity in sound, possibility of poor copying). OR - perhaps more likely, Katarina could be Isaac's cousin or some other DeTurk relative that he is acquainted with. Ah well ... the search goes on.
