metzger, eduard, of paradise twp., was born in ross twp, june 1844, s/o samuel and catharine (smith)) metzger, also natives of monroe co. the grandfather christian metzger was born in bucks co and one of the early settlers of ross twp. he married elisabeth strout. they had 5 children, one son samuel, and four daus., tena, w/o john shupp of chestnut hill, julia a., w/o william newheart of ross twp., annie, w/o levi frantz, and lavina, w/o jacob bond. samuel metzger, father (died in 1890) and his wf catharine (smith) had 10 children, all born in ross twp. betsy, w/o jacob frantz, of eldred, truda married edward huffelinger and they lived in mauch chunk, edward, subject and joseph were twins, the latter died at 9m, mary a. married levi engline and they lived at allentown, jane w/o timothy danworth of easton, alfred died young, peter married tamar drauck, fietta, w/o george bishop of phila, 2nd to frank husen of phila. and she had a son (george), ella married walter earl and they had (gurtie) eduard metzger married emma s. frantz, d/o charles. they moved to jackson twp. here the wife died in 1885, they had children; milton, alvin, jacob, levi, charles and samuel twins, fannie, w/o harry edwards, catharine w/o tom jeffer, maria and lizzie. the daus. were all residents of phila. milton married sarah mixal of ross in 1890 and had (emma, charles, miria and alisis) mr. metzger married 2nd to mrs. amy v. kendrew and she had 3 children by her 1st marriage. mr. and mrs. metzger had children, oscar born in paradise in 1885 and rachel, born 1886 Best Wishes, Geri
