Jane, I'm not sure the Jeremiah Boyer I found is the same one you are looking for, but judging from his obituary and that of his wife [see below], this Jeremiah Boyer was married to a Sarah Yergey. I know a little about the Yergey family and in Sarah's obit she was survived by a sister Miss Elizabeth Yergey. Elizabeth Yergey was never married and Yergey was her maiden name. It is likely that this Sarah Boyer's maiden name was also Yergey or in some cases Yorgey. The spelling of the name changed from one to the other over the years and was used interchangeably by the press.
