    1. [PABERKS] Philip Kline Rockland and Tulpehocken
    2. Elaine Sharp
    3. I decided to go back and retrace my steps and hope maybe someone can be of help to me. In 1790 census there is a Philip Klein in Rockland and one in Tulpehocken. In 1800, there is a Philip Klein in Tulpehocken and one in Windsor. In 1810 there is a Philip Klein in Windsor and a Benjamin Kline in Rockland. In 1820 there is a Philip Klein in Tulpehocken and one in Windsor. There is also a Widow Kline (any idea of her name?) in Tulpehocken. In 1830 there is a Philip Klein in Tulpehocken, and one in Upper Tulpehocken. In 1840 there is a Philip Kline, Sarah Kline,Solomon, Samiel, John, David, George in Windsor and David, Jacob, Joel, John in Rockland. I have some extensive records for the family but what I would like to know is - does anyone know if there is a connection between the Klein/Klines in Tulpehocken, Windsor and Rockland. I ask this because I believe our Philip is the one baptized 1816 in Rockland, son of Benjamin & Sarah, grandson of Philip & Elisabeth. I also believe our Philip is in the one in 1840 census living next door to Sarah, (his mother) wife/widow/? of Benjamin b. 1/21/1791. I cannot seem to find a Benjamin Klein/Kline in these areas other than in 1810 in Rockland. There are Benjamin Kline's in Richmond, Upper Bern, Maxatawny, Bethel, in 1820 and Bethel, Upper Bern, Richmond, Ruscombmanor in 1830. Since Benjamin and Sarah had other children to year abt. 1831, where are they in the 1820 and 1830 censuses? I am also curious why our Philip (1816) seems to be the only child of Benjamin and Sarah that went on to Philadelphia. Thank you. Elaine
