    2. Meliss- SS would know where it was sending checks assuming your uncle was receiving SS benefits when he died. However, the place checks are being sent isn't always the location of death. However, I think you are confused about the information included on the SS-5 application form. That form is the form people complete when applying for an SS card--which would NOT have any information about where they lived when they died. It would, however, have information about their parents' names and other information--date of birth, etc. Joan ----------------------------- I recently called SS concerning the location of my uncle who died last year. I found his number on the index with the date of death but no last know residence. Strangely enough they had no last know residence on him not even a state.
