The Livingood family came from Switzerland to the Palatinate, Jacob and his father, John Wendell Leibengut embarked for America with the first party of Palatines, May 6, 1709 from London, England. In 1728 Jacob Sr. arrived in the Tulpehocken valley with the second exodus from Schoharie, N.Y. Jacob Sr. & Margaretha were killed and scalped by the Indians near Mt. Aetn, Berks Co., PA April 1758. I am needing Jacob Liebengut died April 1758, his stone should have an etching of a tomahawk on it because him and his family had been scalped by indians on that date, sorry don't know the day they died, also of his wife Margaret or Margaretha Sands-Liebengut she died the same date.
