I have an ancestor who was born there in that year, but I don't know to whom. I only know his mother, nothing on his father, but hoping if I can get a listing, it might help alot. Can anyone tell me where or how to get one? Achurch perhaps or a birth index in the county courthouse going back to 1837? I need help in this area. I'm from Lancaster, ut don't want to make the trip if the courthouse doesn't have anything or the churches up there don't have any records going that far back. Surname I'm researching or looking for in those records would be Keenan/Keenen and other spellings. This ncestor was given the name Benjamin, and his mother was a Mary (possibly Mary Horton).
